Every educational center owner asks themselves how to maintain students' and parents' motivation to attend classes regularly throughout the year and how to increase the average check. The director at ROBBO, Maria Hakkarainen, has the answer.

"For many years, we have observed that franchise partners who inform parents at the beginning of the school year that their children will be able to participate in various competitions at the end of the year are more motivated to bring their children to classes regularly and for a long time" says Ms.Hakkarainen.

For an educational center owner, regular attendance without absences among students is already a great achievement. However, preparing for competitions is also an opportunity for additional monetization for robotics clubs. Successful preparation for competitions is not always possible within the framework of regular classes. Sometimes special courses are needed to prepare projects, study previous winners' projects, and practice skills. At ROBBO, we have developed an additional special course for preparing projects for the International Olympiad in Creative Programming and the ROBBO FEST young engineers' competition, which are organized by us and our partners.

"According to our forecasts, from 30% to 50% of ROBBO CLUB students will attend a second additional day per week for a special course on preparing for competitions. This will positively affect students' chances of winning prizes, and from the owner's point of view, it is an opportunity to earn additional income" says Ms.Maria Hakkarainen.

Preparing for competitions in the future can become a standalone product for ROBBO because various students are interested in receiving new awards and adding to their portfolio, not only those who study at ROBBO CLUB.
